We are a family, a vocation within the Church, and we have emerged from a burniong desire to evangelize the world, especially the young, to hrom we dedicate our heart and mission.

In Shalom Catholic Community, we receive an invitation from God to be disciples and ministers of His peace in the world. We experince and announce 'Peace", a reality that goes far beyond the absence of conflict. Peace is the very Person of Jesus Christ.

At the beginning of the Community, we transformed a "coffee shop" into a means of attracting young people to God, and today we continue to ssek new inspirations from the Holy Spirit to encourage the encounter of young people with the person of Jesus Christ, crating "bridges" and new "interfaces" between the ordinary reality of young people and the lige of the Church.

Today, we carry out diverse evangelization activities among young people, families, children, the poorest, professionals from diverse areas, the media, the world of the arts, science, culture and trhough works of mercy with those who suffer.

In 2007, as a symbol of our affiliation and missionary service to the Holy Church, we received from the Holy See our Pontifical Recognition as an International Private Association of the Faithful. Our Statutes were definitively approved in 2021 by the Pontifical Council for the Laity.
